After my dad died this year, I got the family archive: old photos, documents, letters. I started taking photos of them - they are so beautiful, and it is such a great visual material. In this calendar I used these photos for the background.

And the characters drawn on the different pages are prototypes of different members of our family. It seems to me that every family has such characters: Dandy, the frivolous dreamer. A teacher who was loved by all the students. Grandma and Grandpa, who have a silver wedding anniversary and a lifetime of lots of work, a house, worries, and a bunch of kittens. The great adventurer who spent his life traveling the world. A beautiful girl who everyone wanted as a wife, and a great housewife as well. A sad poet. A witch. A grandfather who always put everything in order. A frivolous girl looking for a life of fun. Do you have any of these? Their stories are jewels in a treasure chest of family memories. Which we pass on to each other, generation after generation.
